Welcome to Lyndon
The Lyndon Estate is a 350-year-old family business that owns and manages a wide range of residential and commercial properties and operates an extensive arable contract farming company. Our primary aim is to preserve and improve The Estate to benefit everyone living here today and future generations.
Lyndon is a quiet 17th-century village in Rutland, the smallest county in England, currently home to about 100 people. The majority of our properties are in the village, originally built to provide housing for the people living and working here. Rutland Water is close by, offering various outdoor activities and boasting an internationally recognised nature reserve.
We are passionate about farming in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner and with the majority of the agricultural land in-hand we are able to put this into practice. A long term approach to managing our forestry and boundaries involves maintaining and creating many miles of hedging and planting new woodlands, along with opening wildlife corridors throughout The Estate.
Former farm buildings that were no longer suitable for modern farming activities have been converted and are now home to various small and medium-sized businesses, providing local employment in attractive surroundings.
Whether you are visiting this site to view available rental properties or simply wish to explore some of The Estate history and the families who have lived here, we hope you find something of interest.
